I'm making a list of Halloween and Harvest Festival Events so we'll have a central place to find activities for our families. Feel free to add ones you find.  The ones in pink are events Momslikeme is associated with.

We always go to  Bishop's pumpkin Farm in Wheatland.  Our school even does a field trip there. it's safe and clean.

I like that you can bring your own picnic basket and enjoy the day there. the kids have a blast.  lots of play areas for all ages. They have a wonderful bakery and use their own grown apples, pumpkins, walnuts etc. serious yum. They even make their own apple cider with a viewing room to watch the process.  if you want they have new food area with lots of choices.  we went three times last year!

Hi, I don't have an event to post and I'm actually hoping to find one. Are there any vintage type harvest/masquerade/halloween events in the Sacramento area? A family friendly event that's good for creative preteens. Pumpkin patch is kinda young and gory haunted houses too commercial. We always do the fall Ren Faire and also the historical tours at the Cemetary (sadly missed out on this years Lantern Tour). Festivals and ghost hunting maybe? Thanks.

Witchapalooza at Cal Expo

On October 10th and 11th at Cal Expo, LP & M Inc. will be hosting the first ever Witchapalooza in Sacramento, CA.  Witchapalooza will be an event like no other in the history of Sacramento and promises to be memorable, fun, and packed with something for everyone.  There will be magicians and performers in several key locations throughout the fair.  Local Sacramento vendors will be on hand showcasing their products and serves that are related to the fun and mystical.

Witchapalooza will start at 10am and will go into the witching hour each night for this two day event.  There will be concerts, exhibitions, costumes, and more.  Parking is plentiful and security will be discrete and on hand to ensure the safety of everyone who attends.  First aid is provided by Hart Medical Services.  Concessions will consist of unique gourmet selections that go beyond traditional fair foods.

In the coming weeks, the website (www.GotWitch.com) will reveal more information on what you can expect from this packed two day experience.

So mark your calendar for the week-end of October 10th and 11th and be ready to be filled with awe and wonder as the date of what promises to be unforgettable draws near.
